PROMOTION

WHEN Sakana put on an event, you know it's going to be pretty special. They are presenting their new wine menu at the launch of their Wine Club on Thursday 23 April. Be there to be one of the first to try Sakana's new selection under the expert guidance of sommelier Carl Stanton.

This will be an exclusive evening, taking wine tasting to a whole new level

Sakana's stylish backdrop and the limited places available mean that this will be an exclusive evening, taking wine tasting to a whole new level. Not only will you enjoy two wine flights from the new menu, each is paired with a sumptuous selection of matched dishes, showcasing Sakana's precision pan-Asian cooking.

Exotic Spice Trail, the first flight, consists of a light yet aromatic Gewürztraminer, an Australian wine which is a complex and unusual combination of three different grape varieties and, in a nod to Sakana's pan-Asian cuisine, a Japanese sake.

This flight is accompanied with soft shell crab and mango maki roll, mackerel sashimi and chicken karaage, dishes which perfectly bring out the subtle flavours of the wines.

Made For Meat, the final flight, includes a Spanish Rioja, an intense Argentinian Malbec and an aged Sake which are partnered with robust dishes of beef teriyaki, crispy duck roti and beef tataki that stand up to the wines and make a perfect match.

If you wish to continue enjoying Sakana's delicious pan-Asian cuisine after the wine tasting event, there will be a 20% discount on the a la carte menu for Wine Club attendees and there will be an exclusive discount on all wine orders placed on the night

The event costs £30 per head but places are very limited so reserve yours now while you still can.
