THERE have been rave reviews and long queues to see the latest production To Kill A Mockingbird plus she has been showing off a revamped sponsors lounge where the good souls who pay good money to keep the Theatre going each year can kick back in the interval and whenever else they fancy really.
It's great and hopefully will encourage more businesses to come forward and sponsor the Theatre.
It had been a tad dark and dingy but 5plus Architects oversaw the project to transform it, revealing an original fireplace in the process, Litecraft provided new lighting, Farrow & Ball gave the paint and Shaw Contract Group laid a new carpet.
Fair play to them all.
Ruth, who is the Theatre's development manager, said: "We had no budget at all but the support of those firms has made the transformation possible and we are really really pleased. It's great and hopefully will encourage more businesses to come forward and sponsor the Theatre."
The price of being a Royal Exchange benefactor starts at £1,500
Ruth is pictured in the lounge with Marla Cunningham the development director. The pictures of the lounge come from Mark Waugh.
