BAR and restaurant group Drake & Morgan has announced the opening of three new sites over the next twelve months, including two in Manchester's Spinningfields and St Peter's Square.
The Refinery will occupy a 185-cover, 5,800 sq ft space within XYZ
The sites, alongside new openings in London’s West India Quay, Heathrow’s Terminal 4 and Edinburgh’s St Andrew’s Square, will take the London-based group’s total portfolio to fourteen.
Spinningfields will see an expansion of Drake & Morgan's Refinery Bar (main image), which currently operates across two London sites - Bankside and Regent’s Place - and is characterised by a sophisticated aesthetic, seasonal British food and creative cocktails. The ‘all-day drinking and dining’ venue will open in Allied London’s landmark XYZ building in Leftbank.
Set to open in June, XYZ will boast 160,000 sq ft of flexible workspace, with over 30,000 sq ft dedicated to public amenities; including food and drink units, a permanent events space, a bike park and leisure facilities.
The Refinery will occupy a 185-cover, 5,800 sq ft space within XYZ and is due to open this autumn. Drake & Morgan’s second Manchester site will follow in spring next year, a slightly bigger venue at One St Peter’s Square as part of the area’s £185m redevelopment.
Drake & Morgan Managing Director, Jillian Maclean, told Big Hospitality: “We are delighted to be bringing our bars and restaurants to Edinburgh and Manchester and to be expanding in our heartland in central London. We look forward to accelerating the rollout of our business and welcoming more lovely customers.”
