In partnership with Kaleidoscope Trust, the campaign features famous faces and spotlights global LGBTQ+ rights

Manchester’s Printworks has partnered with Kaleidoscope Trust to celebrate Pride Month with a powerful visual on Europe’s largest screen.

The campaign, which pays tribute to LGBTQ+ voices, is completely free to visit and will run throughout June.

The immersive installation is a striking visual display that celebrates the vibrancy, resilience, and diversity of the LGBTQ+ community. Featuring celebrated modern-day icons, including international campaigner Phyll Opoku-Gyimah, alongside Manchester’s very own Lill from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and Great British Sewing Bee winner Luke-Matthew Iveson.

This joyful celebration also provides visitors with the opportunity to take a moment and reflect on the global fight for LGBTQ+ rights; still today, in over 65 countries, members of the LGBTQ+ community face criminalisation and persecution for simply being themselves.

Kaleidoscope Trust - a charity working to uphold the human rights of LGBTQ+ people worldwide - has partnered with Printworks to share stories, raise awareness and encourage visitors to support the cause.

Alex Farrow, Chief Executive Officer at Kaleidoscope Trust, said: "Pride Month is a time of visibility, celebration and protest for the LGBTI+ community and it's great to see that highlighted so prominently at The Printworks,

“In many countries public displays such as this would be unimaginable and would lead to imprisonment or violence. We're therefore delighted that The Printworks are also using this display to raise awareness of our work and to encourage their visitors to donate to help us fight for a world where LGBTI+ people are free, safe and equal everywhere."

On-site screens in Printworks’ Pumpyard further spotlight the work of Kaleidoscope Trust, including a QR code that enables visitors to donate directly; their money going towards supporting frontline activists and organisations across the globe.

Printworks’ Pride Month activation is designed to inform, inspire and uplift visitors from all backgrounds as they come together to celebrate Manchester’s LGBTQ+ community and its continued legacy.
