Legoland Discovery Centre is a great place to visit over the end of term break. It has over 2 million LEGO bricks, a Kingdom Quest, 4D Cinema, workshops, Miniland and many more interesting things to see and do.
Tickets are £16.20 at the door or from £8.10 online, depending on time of entry. It's open daily from 10am to 7pm and guests should allow at least 2-3 hours for their visit. Chill Factore is the place to go for skiing and snowboarding and also for tubing, lugeing and sledging along with other snow filled activities or for rock climbing. They will also have a Chille & The Chocolate Factore event this Easter filled with chocolate and sweets activites.

Chester Zoo is a train and bus ride away from the city. Aside from the fabulous activities Chester Zoo will also open a new exhibition for Easter on 1 April, Dinosaurs Bite Back with 19 robotic replicas of the creatures that roamed the earth millions of years ago.

The Manchester Museums all offer great exhibitions and shows for kids to visit and many of them have special programmes running for children as well.
People's History Museum has Bugs and Beasties craft table and family friendly trail from 31 March to 15 April. It is a family friendly activity where participants help the museum to find all the bugs that could damage its collections.

Museum of Science and Industry has many interesting exhibitions and shows for the whole family. The Planetarium is for everyone aged 6 or older and gives a great view of the stars and planets. There are also steam train rides and a 4D theatre. Experiment is a hands-on experience of science for the whole family that runs daily.

The Whitworth Art Gallery has special events planned for the school holidays. They offer workshops such as Creative Customising on 1 and 15 April and Cotton Capers on 3, 5, 10 and 12 April where participants re-use and recycle old garments. They also have Arty Picnics on 4 and 11 April for families to meet an artist for creative activities.

The Teenage Market is Stockport on 1 April is a place for youngsters to show off their creative skills. The market will run from 12pm-4pm and feature DJs, live music, comedy, camera workshop, tea stall and more.

Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival is on 31 March and 1 April in Bury. There will be a children's craft activities and entertainment workshop with face painting, magician, balloon sculpting and more and also a giant Easter egg competition.
