The Alan

You could say The Alan is a hotel, but it’s so much more than that. Housed in an impressive Victorian building, The Alan is home to six storeys of Mancunian innovation and diversity including a pop-up multi-use space, a ground floor restaurant and bar, meeting rooms and co-working spaces and 137 rooms.

The Alan was born from a vision of wanting to do things differently. Something experimental, fresh and with an emphasis on partnerships between artists, chefs, designers and forward- thinkers. It’s a place for inspiring events and collaborations, memorable stays and first class food from morning till late.

Step through the door and be impressed by the mix of style and sustainability. By sensitively restoring the building, we’ve stripped back the interiors to reveal the heritage behind the clutter and we’ve repurposed original materials to reduce waste – and make a stunning impact; the ground floor made from a collage of broken marble fragments is just one example of this. From the products in the bedrooms to the seasonal menus with low food miles, we’ve put our ethos at the heart of what we do.
