Breakfast is served weekdays from 7am – 11am so call in for a coffee and a pastry or fortify yourself for a busy day with porridge and pear. Blueberries and walnuts or even The Alan full English.
Lunch is served from 12pm – 4pm and dinner is served from 5pm – 9.45pm. Our menu changes regularly; we cook with fresh ingredients in their prime and the dishes we cook use the best produce available – and a little bit of what we fancy.
You’ll find light bites, small plates, large cuts and some lovely playful puds. It varies week to week but you sit down to anything from whipped cod’s roe with radish or aged beef tartare to a stonking great Barnsley chop or a cauliflower tikka. Even an arctic roll or our take on Snickers – if you’re lucky.
From 3.30pm – 6.30pm it’s happy hour. Enjoy Telmont Champagne for £10 a glass and Cumbrae oysters for £1 a shuck.
We also offer group dining. In fact, Situ, our downstairs events space can accommodate all sorts of dinners and dining options.
The Alan is just getting started. We feel like our restaurant is just getting to where we want it to be and already we’ve had rave reviews from Jay Rayner so we must be doing something right. We’ll keep on striving to offer the best food we can. Hopefully, you’ll be giving us rave reviews when you visit.
