First Class: The new menu at The Laureate

The Hyatt Hotel Manchester has a new head chef at the helm and an exciting new menu.

Under Head Chef Manash Kolaparth-Muthuvana and his team, The Laureate restaurant is now a first-class destination for eclectic flavours.

The new menu has an international flavour and is inspired by the team’s own favourite food memories.

A standout starter is Abd’s Mezze, a veritable feast of hummus, baba ghanoush, beetroot and feta dip, dill and cucumber, pickled vegetables. Gordal olives and a selection of breads. It’s everything we love about Middle Easter cuisine: crunchy, creamy, tangy and smoky.

Some of our favourite new main courses are Vikas’ house treat, prawn biriyani. Accompanied with poppadums, lime pickle and cucumber raita this classic dish is layered with so much flavour and subtle spicing.

You’ll also love Joy’s fragrant chicken Thai green curry, inspired by memories of family meals at home. The chicken thigh is slow-cooked for extra tenderness whilst the sides of fresh Thai salad and Jasmine rice impart perfume and a zingy fresh pop to the dish.

These dishes are cooked from the heart and offer guests a real personal touch. Something The Laureate restaurant is very proud of.

Of course, you’ll also find classics from our grill like quality steaks and pizzas. You can’t miss our showstopping desserts like the heady Persian rice pudding or our Manchester bee, made with honey, bee pollen, peach and raspberry.

Come and enjoy dinner at The Laureate and discover a restaurant that’s full of personality.
