NEW MENU AT BAB

Seasonal bab lovers rejoice.

This summer we have some exciting new menu additions to announce at BAB – both babs, non babs and meze options.

Non-bab newbies include sea bass with ratatouille courgette, fried black olives, pickled radish and creamy seafood sauce. It is Manchester on the Med. You won’t be able to resist pairing it with our homemade garlic mayo.

Another non-bab new one is our Greek-style traybake. It’s a bit of a pick ’n’ mix for grown-ups full of our favourite summer foods. Instead of Flumps and giant cola bottles you get to add things like chicken, halloumi and tenderstem broccoli to an already rather wonderful selection of courgettes, peppers, onions, olives and artichokes.

Our brand spanking new mixed seafood bab is pure summer on a stick. Well, on a skewer actually. We cook stuffed squid, soft shell crab and octopus and pop it in a home-made flatbread along with coriander fennel, squid ink sauce, red tobiko and Greek chimichurri to hot things up a little bit. If you want things a bit hotter still, may we recommend our chilli and lime sauce? It’s a winner with seafood and we made it ourselves.

We’ve also made some tweaks to a few of our classic babs: cooking the hot crispy chicken in buttermilk for that extra crunch and adding a new tikka masala sauce to our salmon kebab. Speaking of sauces, upgrade your bab and order extra. They’re only £1 each – all homemade and filled with good stuff - so why don’t you get creative and find your own favourite pairing?

Order some meze to get your summer bab-fest going. The new ones are glazed pork belly and hummus bil lahmeh.
