THE Northern Quarter is often the location for a Bank Holiday street party and this May is no exception.

On Sunday 5 May, Northern Quarter independents will be hosting a day of dancing, drinking and, randomly, a dog show, in support of the charity 'We Love Mcr'.

The event will span over the High Street, Thomas Street, Edge Street, Oak Street, John Street, Turner Street, Back Turner Street - which will all be pedestrianised for the event.

Starting at noon until 9pm across 18 venues (with free entry) there will be food stalls, fun fairs, competitions, guest DJs, live entertainment and pop-up stalls from the likes of Sugar Daddy Cupcakes, plus a tattoo parlour. The dog show will start at noon on Oak Street.

Venues involved include TNQ Restaurant & Bar, Simple, Bluu, Millstone, Terrace, Common, Home Sweet Home, Solita, Odd Bar, Almost Famous, Trof, TV21, Apothica, Keko Moko, Luck Lust Liquor and Burn, Kahlua Bar and Bay Horse.

The restaurant has also prepared for all weathers and turn out with extra benches and tables and gazebos.
