The Manchester Food Hero Award was created by Manchester Confidential and Manchester Food and Drink Festival to celebrate people or businesses that have helped make Greater Manchester a better region for food and drink.
There's no judges shortlist to choose from – nominate whoever you like.
It could be a shop, a late night takeaway, a bar, a Manchester-born product, a waiter or waitress, a chef, a food project, a catering company...
If they're involved in food and drink and they're doing something special, original, or of excellent quality, we want to know about them.
We want it to be as wide-ranging as possible. So let your imagination fly.
Gordo and Schofield will consider the nominations and decide which of the ideas put forward by readers makes the best case for Manchester Food Hero 2012.
The winner will be announced at the Manchester Food and Drink Festival Gala Dinner on 8 October at The Lowry Hotel.
