CONFIDENTIAL PROMOTION
WRAP up against the cold with warming dishes from Zouk. The new additions to the menu add an injection of spice to Zouk's innovative offerings.
The samosa chaat is a feisty little number
Owner Mudassar Amjad is excited by the changes: “We're passionate about uncovering delightful dishes from our favourite spots across the Indian sub-continent. It’s great to introduce someone to a dish they've never heard of before.”
The samosa chaat (£3.95) is feisty little number. The authentic channa chaat is served with a vegetable samosa, a raita, pomegranate seeds and a drizzle of tangy tamarind chutney for extra punch.
Tava lamb (£10.95 for two) is Zouk's answer to crispy duck and pancakes. Inspired by the drier dishes of Hyderabad and Andhra Pradesh, it's a sociable sharing dish with real stand out flavours. Sizzling lamb is served with a range of pickles, chutneys and rotis so you can create your own wraps, the way you like them.
New main courses are just as tempting. The menu showcases Zouk's take on a traditional railway curry (£9.95) which is absolutely first class. This succulent Rajasthan lamb dish is cooked on the bone to retain every last ounce of flavour and the fresh green chillis and the dried red Kashmiri chillies blend together to create a real intensity.
Autumnal dishes can be light and delicate too. The spiced sea bream (£12.95) is refreshingly healthy, served wrapped in a banana leaf. With its spice crust and accompanying coconut and red chilli chutney, the fish makes a tasty centrepiece to a well-balanced meal.
