CONFIDENTIAL PROMOTION

SUMMER has gone but the great new seasonal burgers from All Star Lanes more than make up for it.

The Autumn Harvest is burger gone posh. Topped off with sautéed wild mushrooms and decadent slices of black truffle, this is a huge stack of rich earthy deliciousness. Think twigs cracking underfoot, smoky air and a big cosy jumper (cashmere, of course) protecting you from frosty afternoons.

Runny golden yolk from the crispy bread-crumbed poached duck egg oozes slowly over the burger like a piece of M&S food porn. It is unadulterated burger luxury. The 6oz patties are pure-bred UK wagyu beef sourced from Earl Stonham Farm in Sussex, the only pure-bred suppliers in the country.

The New Yorker Burger is All Star Lanes' other seasonal special. It's a reinvention of the classic Reuben, beloved of delis from Brooklyn to the Bronx and everywhere in-between.

The gherkins and the sauerkraut pack a real pickle punch, that cuts through the cascade of melting Monterey Jack cheese and the meaty feast that is the signature 6oz beef patty and the juicy pulled salt beef.

All in all, it's quite a mouthful, but one that will fill you up with Big Apple envy, making you hanker after a transatlantic trip of your own. At least you can take to tastebuds to New York even if the rest of you has to stay in Manchester.

The Autumn Harvest burger costs £18 and the New Yorker costs £13. They're only available until November 22 so make sure you don't miss out.
