MANCHESTER'S cocktail and drinks wizards, educators and innovators The Liquorists, have joined forces with Diageo Reserve Brands to open a new city centre bar on King Street.

"Reserve is about a total experience from retail to glass and we’re looking forward to bringing a bit of independent spirit to King Street.”

Opening from Thursday 10 October for three months in the former All Saints store at 52 King Street, Reserve by The Liquorists is the first bar to be located on lower King Street and is also thought to be the first venue of its kind, offering a mix of retail on the ground floor and a cocktail bar and events space on the first floor. All handily under one roof.

As well as operating as a bar offering classic signature cocktails and locally brewed craft beers, Tuesday through Saturday will host a multitude of events including live music, interactive drinks master classes and food and drink tastings in the upstairs main bar area.

Meanwhile the ground floor of Reserve by The Liquorists will be a retail space where shoppers can taste and buy spirits including Tanqueray Gin, Ciroc Vodka, Don Julio Tequila, Johnnie Walker Whisky and Zacapa Rum.

To complete the experience, anyone who buys a bottle will be able to pop upstairs to the bar to taste and learn how to make a cocktail by The Liquorists' own master cocktail makers. They’ll also receive a recipe card with step by step instructions to help them recreate the magic like a pro.
