Guy Nixon, Founder & CEO Of Native Serviced Apartments and Aparthotels, has announced that, after much consideration, none of their aparthotels across London, Manchester and Glasgow will be closing.
"Over the last few days we've been thinking very carefully about how we should respond to the dramatic impact that the coronavirus has been having on the UK Hospitality industry,” he told us.
“As well as accommodating those guests that still need to travel, we're also working with our local NHS Trusts to give accommodation to NHS professionals that desperately need a place to rest between extended shifts.”
A place to meet or hang out until the government say otherwise
Native Manchester, in the Grade II listed Ducie Street warehouse near Piccadilly train station, has 166 luxury serviced apartments starting from a studio to a palatial two bedroom duplex penthouse apartment. Their huge ground floor food and drink operation, the restaurant at CULTUREPLEX, will also remain open as will the bar and hangout space ready to welcome and serve anyone who needs a meal (prepared to the highest hygiene standards), a stiff or warm drink or just a place to meet or hang out until the government say otherwise.
“Most importantly,” adds Mr Nixon, “none of the incredible hospitality professionals that work across our buildings will have their contracts terminated as we wait for the pandemic to pass, as we know it will. We're also putting our faith in the UK Government to step in and provide financial support for our people as they can and we as an SME just can't.
