The limited-edition collaboration between the two Manchester icons lands next week
Two Manchester institutions - Mulligans and Bada Bing - have teamed up to create a sarnie of legendary status; ‘Split The B’ - a limited-edition hoagie created using Mulligan’s perfect-pour Guinness.
The sandwich features Mulligan’s Guinness braised short rib, crispy spuds, greens, pickled cabbage and crispy onions. Available exclusively at Bada Bing’s Northern Quarter shop from Thursday 6 November, the sandwich will be on the menu for a limited time only.
At Mulligans, pouring the perfect pint of Guinness is a serious craft. The pub has earned its reputation for serving the best pint of Guinness outside of Ireland, thanks to its fully independent Guinness dispense system, monthly staff training and even its own dedicated technician. Every week, Mulligans pours around 13,000 pints of the black stuff - each one poured to perfection under the watchful eye of owner and Guinness expert, Pádraig Brady.
“At Mulligans, we take pride in every pint of Guinness we pour,” says owner Pádraig Brady. “So when the chance came up to team up with Bada Bing and create something special for Mancs to enjoy beyond the pub, it just made sense. Quality recognises quality.”
Sopranos-inspired sarnie spot, Bada Bing, has gained a cult following since first stepping onto the Manchester food scene in lockdown.
“We’ve always admired Mulligans for how they do things - with no short cuts,” says Sam Gormally, co-founder of Bada Bing. “This collab celebrates everything we both love about Manchester hospitality - craft, quality and a bit of heart. It’s a proper Manc sandwich, made with a proper pint.”
The Mulligans x Bada Bing Guinness Sandwich will be available, exclusively at Bada Bing (125 Oldham Street), from Thursday 6 November, for a limited time only.
