From Holy Crab to Savage Cabbage, Yakumama to Oh My Glaze - vote for your favourite

Last year we held the first of Confidential’s public vote-offs, pitting the best of the region’s food and booze scene against one another in a series of open Twitter polls.

Thousands of votes later we discovered your favourite boozer (Sam’s Chop House), coffee shop (Home Sweet Home), cocktail bar (Cane & Grain) and outdoor drinking spot (Rain Bar).

So far this year we've also arrived at your favourite spot for Afternoon Tea (Annie's), brekkie/brunch (Home Sweet Home), Spanish grub (La Torre) and Sunday Roast (Hispi).

Next up is one of the fastest growing and most competitive quarters of the Manchester food and drink scene: street food.

Ten years ago Manchester street food mostly meant a ‘klang’ burger (named after the sound a frozen patty makes as it hits the plancher) on the way to Old Trafford or Maine Road. Nowadays, innovative vendors offer all manner of global delights - from Taiwanese steamed buns to crab balls and contemporary Ottoman cuisine - at an abundance of local markets, events, pop-ups and festivals.

Once again we'll be posting daily heats, you pick your favourite and they move onto the next round until we arrive at a winner (who'll pick up a spiffing little trophy).
