Wilson’s Social is the sort of place you call in for a drink, and then you get so comfortable, you never want to leave.
Now take that feeling and treble it because the Northern Quarter bar has a new all-day food menu so you don’t actually have to leave. Just stay there, eating, drinking and living your best life.
A cracking fry-up that will put you back together again
It kicks off with brunch dishes like poached eggs and smoked salmon on pretzel, a cracking fry-up that will put you back together again, granola with coconut yoghurt and waffles with bacon and maple syrup.
Brunch is served until 4pm. Wilson’s Social is an affable, take-your-time sort of place and the coffee is very good.
The rest of the menu includes salads, dips, sharers, large plates, bowls and burgers. There’s a global slant to the menu with plenty of flavour and plenty of spice.
We love the meze sampler for sharing as well as the seared beef and noodle stir fry and the Korean kimchi chicken burger and fries. That last one goes down a treat with a cold bottle of beer or if you’re feeling fancy, an Old-Fashioned. Thank us later.
What’s more, food is served until 9pm so if you just came for cocktails and ended up thinking ‘those harissa chicken wings look good’ then that’s fine. Go ahead.
