LAUNCHING this week is MeadowSide, the first purpose-built residential scheme in the heart of the city to be designed specifically to benefit from a park view. Creating a brand-new community breathing life into the historic Angel Meadow neighbourhood, the £200m MeadowSide scheme is designed by Manchester-based architect firm 5plus. Making the most of the unique location, each one, two and three bedroom apartment and penthouse in the first phase of 286 flats in The Gate and The Stile buildings lets the outside in.
The light and airy accommodation offers picture windows overlooking trees and gardens, and residents can relax on the large shared terrace in the landscaped gardens. Ground-floor commercial units and private dining areas complement the scheme, while the initial two buildings on Aspin Lane also include a 24-hour concierge service, fully equipped gym and parking facilities.
The new neighbourhood forms the first part of the groundbreaking Northern Gateway partnership between Manchester City Council and leading developer FEC, which plans to deliver 10,000 new homes across this area in the north side of Manchester over the next decade.
