HARVEY Nichols is getting its perfectly manicured fingers dirty this month for Manchester's urban gardening festival, Dig the City.
Harvey Nichols will be holding an exclusive Guest Chef Dinner with Mary-Ellen McTague from Aumbry and Lisa Allen from The Great British Menu
During the festival (3-11 August) they'll be opening their own festival pub, inviting guest chefs to prepare a home-grown dinner, and serving champagne and strawberries from a vintage French van. There's also complimentary beauty treats and makeovers for those who like to garden in style.
The Harvey Nichols Festival pub in association with Thwaites, will bring a country vibe to Exchange Square.
Head there for a traditional ploughman's lunch, cask ales, authentic British ciders, world beers, chilled wines and Tails cocktails including a delicious Elderflower Collins.
Over on New Cathedral Street, Harvey Nichols French-themed Champagne Garden will be a more sophisticated stop-off for festival goers.
You can sip on bubbly or cocktails with strawberries, served from their vintage gastronomique van, Claude.
Up on the Second Floor Restaurant, Harvey Nichols will be holding an exclusive Guest Chef Dinner on 5 August with Mary-Ellen McTague from Aumbry and Lisa Allen from The Great British Menu.
In association with tableware specialists, Dudson, Mary-Ellen and Lisa will create a four-course menu highlighting foraged foods, local specialities and produce you can grow at home in a small garden.
Tickets are £60 including an arrival drink, four courses and coffee. For bookings, please call the Second Floor Reception on 0161 828 8898.
And if the outdoors isn't really your thing, step inside the Harvey Nichols Beauty Garden for complimentary treatments, hair styling and makeovers daily from midday to 3pm throughout the festival period. Just follow the strawberry vines from New Cathedral Street to find the way.
