THE Happy Mondays will headline the Sunday line-up at the 'Junction 16' outdoor concerts at Betley Court Farm, Crewe this August.
Playing with their original line-up, including Sean and Paul Ryder, Bez and Rowetta, they'll be on the same bill as three other big names from that era.
See them alongside acid house pioneers 808 State; ex New Order and Joy Division bassist Peter Hook, who'll be playing with his new band The Light, and Merseyside chart-toppers The Farm. DJ support comes from Clint Boon, Dave Haslam and Herbie Saccani. It's a brilliant line-up, and one you probably won't see again any time soon.
The Junction 16 concerts take place from Friday 9 August until Sunday 11 August in parkland just off Junction 16 of the M6. Friday night sees Status Quo supported by Mungo Jerry. Saturday features pop acts including Stooshe and Union J.
It's Sunday night's concert that we're getting excited about. This is a chance to hear iconic tracks from a legendary era in the North West's music history, played live at a beautiful rural setting overlooking the 26-acre Betley Mere.
It looks set to be one of the gigs of the summer – and tickets are sensibly priced at £35. It's happening on Sunday 11 August.

Happy Mondays
One of the greatest bands of a generation, the Happy Mondays were discovered by Tony Wilson in the Hacienda in 1985. Tracks such as 'Step On', 'Hallelujah', 'Kinky Afro' and 'Loose Fit' went on to define the Madchester sound of the late eighties and early nineties.
808 State
808 State were behind seminal chill-out anthem ‘Pacific State’ - instantly recognisable almost a quarter of a century later. Described as "masters of their art" (Q) who "sketched the blueprint for British techno" (Mixmag), this is rare chance to hear them play live.
Peter Hook and The Light
At Betley, Peter Hook and The Light will play Joy Division's debut album, Unknown Pleasures. Featuring tracks including 'She's Lost Control' and 'Disorder', this ground-breaking record frequently features in lists of the greatest albums of all time.
The Farm
The Farm had eight Top 40 hits and a number one album in the UK. See their original lineup play songs including 'Groovy Train' and 'All Together Now' at Betley.

These iconic Manchester DJs will play music from the Hacienda era up to the present day in three crowd-stirring sets.
