New two- and three-course menu
EVENINGS are all about Gusto’s new-look set menu at the moment – and, of course, the lovely Art Deco-inspired surroundings in which to enjoy the delicious dishes. We always leave feeling like a chi-chi extra in a Baz Luhrmann movie.
With sparkly lights reflecting off the marble bar and shiny brass, the city-centre eatery provides the perfect backdrop to grabbing a bite to eat before a theatre trip or concert, or if you fancy kicking back with friends after work. Do you even need an excuse?
Right now, on weekdays (Monday to Thursday) from 5pm onwards, you can pick two courses for just £16.95 or opt for starter, main and dessert and pay £19.95. We can’t think of a better way to get out of cooking and washing-up on a school night!
There’s plenty to choose from, with three options for our veggie pals: caprino pizza with goat’s cheese and pesto, baked aubergine Milanese served with a rocket salad, and rustic three-mushroom risotto with truffle oil. Add crispy baked pancetta for £1, if you really need meat, or go for a carnivorous option: our go-to Gusto burger is one, meatball spaghetti another. Fresh from the oven is roast chicken breast with creamed leeks and gnocchi, or the fillet of cod wrapped in prosciutto. A classic well executed.
Starters and sweets range from bruschetta to tiramisu, so there’s something for everyone; classic combinations or dishes that are a little bit different.
