IT MAY be one of Manchester’s most fêted hidden treasures but Epernay isn’t one to rest on its laurels. Now under new ownership, the bubbles bar is ready to pop with a fresh new image. This, naturally, called for a party; which took place on Thursday 4 with all the requisite fizz, fun and frolics.
A fitting celebration indeed
Champagne flutes were handed out by friendly staff as the tasteful new space filled with chatter, groups mingling while the DJ worked his musical magic in the spacious back room. Generous rounds of canapés, meanwhile, provided nibbles aplenty: from delicate tarts to hearty meatballs, succulent roast chicken to pigs in blankets and crispy spring rolls - rounded off with rich chocolate brownie chunks.
All, of course, in Epernay’s stylish new interior. A fitting celebration indeed.
