Confidentials.com is a set of premium consumer digital food and drink magazines covering Manchester, Liverpool and into West Yorkshire. We have an exciting opportunity for full time staff writers to join our award-winning editorial team; one of the most creative and dynamic multi-media units in the UK.
We believe content is king and we hope to inform, educate, entertain and, yes, ruffle people’s feathers. Confidentials has been doing this for 19 years, during which time we have grown from 2,000 readers to over 750,000.
Along with the food and drink focus the successful candidate should have the flexibility to write about various aspects of a city’s life. We want high quality, punchy, original and grammatically tight content. The ability to work to deadline is paramount as is the talent to dig out stories.
Candidates need to be social media savvy and conversant with all the major platforms used by Confidentials such as Twitter, Instagram and Facebook. They will be required to deliver imaginative photo and video content.
This is not a nine to five role so attendance at evening and weekend events such as openings and launches may be required. On occasion successful candidates will be required to cover food and drink stories across the North West.
