MANCHESTER Confidential and The Great Northern Warehouse have teamed this festive season for a very special Christmas announcement - and we need you lovely people of Manchester and Salford to chip in.

We want to hand over this city centre winter wonderland to all the children's charities, youth groups and organisations that work tirelessly all year round...

We want to evoke the true spirit of Christmas this year; to help people and spread happiness. You may have noticed that the folks at Great Northern Warehouse have launched 'Manchester On Ice' in Deansgate's Great Northern Square this year, including an ice skating rink, fairground rides and an Ice Maze.

Well, for two days this Christmas, Confidential and the Great Northern Warehouse want to hand over this city centre winter wonderland to all the children's charities, youth groups and organisations that work tirelessly all year round to protect the vulnerable kiddywinks of this fair city... for FREE.

We're offering free sessions on the rink, unlimited goes on the Helter Skelter, Penguin Dodgems and Ice Maze, while the nearby Home Sweet Home cafe, bar and restaurant will be giving away free hot chocolates to all who attend.

In addition, Manchester Confidential have also organised some very special Christmas surprises.

Mark Ashmore, creative director at the Great Northern, said:

"Manchester On Ice has become our annual celebration of Christmas, and the landlord here at Great Northern has declared his intention to make sure the children of Manchester and Salford are looked after during this inaugural event.

"We want to take back Christmas and remember that it should be all about family, friends and good will - and Penguin Dodgems of course!"

Mark Garner, publisher of Manchester Confidential, said:

"It is important to remember that all great cities like ours still experience the curse of child poverty, deprivation and hunger.

"What makes a city really great is when the rest of us chip in to make sure these kids feel part of the team, to make sure they get a Christmas and the chance to smile. Myself and my team at Confidential are committed to making a difference this Christmas."

To be part of this very special (and hopefully) annual occasion at the Great Northern Warehouse, please e-mail the Future Artists events and creative team at Info@Futureartists.co.uk and add in the subject box 'Children's Christmas'

(please can we request that only the organisers, heads of departments, team leaders, care workers etc e-mail us - we will then send you further information including the date of the activites. If you are a child and reading this, then please pass these details on to an appropriate adult).
