Free fresh juice and homemade lemonade will be offered to the city’s students all day tomorrow, Friday 5 February, at Bakchich.

Complementary beverages to city students with a valid student card between 11am and close.

The Lebanese street food-style eatery, just off Oxford Road, is offering the complementary beverages to city students with a valid student card between 11am and close.

Bakchich staff will also be wandering around nearby university campuses, free juice in hand.

Snap a selfie of yourself and your Bakchich beverage and upload it to the restaurant’s Facebook, Twitter or Instagram, using the hashtag #BakchichBevs, and you could also win a free meal for you and three friends.

Bakchich, which opened late last year following success on Liverpool’s Bold Street, serves up a colourful range of fresh, healthy Lebanese eats, including plenty of vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options, at affordable prices. It is also halal.

It offers a wide range of fruit and vegetable juices, smoothies and lemonades, made fresh on-site daily, ranging from rose water lemonade to the popular carrot, orange and ginger blend. Perfect for washing down some mezze, a massive salad, quick wrap or hearty mixed grill.

Bakchich co-owner Otto Mellouki said:
“Our vision at Bakchich is to educate the people of Manchester about Lebanese cooking. Lebanese food is colourful, fresh and healthy and it’s made to share.
“Our menu is also very affordable – great for families or students. Surely some fresh Lebanese food trumps Pot Noodles any day!
“We are inviting all students to come enjoy a free drink tomorrow for this exact reason – we want to make the food we love from Beirut accessible to all.”

Bakchich is situated at 4 Chester Street, Manchester City Centre, just off Oxford Road and directly opposite Manchester Metropolitan University's All Saints Campus.
