The hotel group shares and idea of what the boutique development will look like ahead of its 1 July opening

Dakota Hotel Group has unveiled new CGIs offering a first look inside its new Manchester Airport hotel. Positioned as “the destination before the destination”, the seven-storey, 84,000 sq ft hotel has been purpose-designed for travellers seeking a seamless, premium stay either side of their journey.

Set to open on 1 July 2026, the £55m development will bring Dakota’s signature blend of understated luxury and exceptional service directly to one of the UK’s busiest international airports. 

The hotel will feature 154 bedrooms, a premium Bar & Grill, a dedicated shuttle service to the airport terminals, on-site valet car parking and a range of refined spaces designed to enhance the guest experience, such as an al fresco Cigar Terrace and Humidor, private dining rooms, a dedicated Champagne Room and versatile event spaces.
