Who makes the nicest naan and the most tip top tandoori? Vote for your favourite

Last year we began Confidential’s public vote-offs, pitting the best of the region’s food and drink scene against one another in a series of open Twitter polls.

Thousands of you have voted so far, crowning your favourite boozer (Sam’s Chop House), coffee shop (Home Sweet Home), cocktail bar (Cane & Grain), outdoor drinking spot (Rain Bar), Afternoon Tea (Annie's), breakfast/brunch (Home Sweet Home), Spanish grub (La Torre), Sunday Roast (Hispi) and street food (Eat New York).

Next up we want you to vote for your favourite Indian restaurant in the city centre (there were simply too many to run a regional vote-off, so we'll come to those later).

Forgive the pun but Indian food is hot. Gone are the days when an Indian was synonymous with a curry house on Curry Mile (though we're still pretty good at those), with the likes of Bundobust, Mowgli and Indian Tiffin Room introducing diners to a new type of Indian cuisine, something called 'street food', whilst the likes of Asha's have shown they can compete with the big boys in terms of quality and elegance. Meanwhile, crowd pleasers such as Akbar's, EastZEast and Zouk continue to do what they do best.

Once again we'll be posting daily heats, you pick your favourite and they move onto the next round until we arrive at a winner (who'll be awarded a spiffing little trophy).

So keep your eye on our Twitter account and get behind your favourite.
