'INSPIRED by the many great beers to grace our taps and pass our lips we are delighted to present Electrik’s very first draught beer, a true cask-conditioned ale, brewed in collaboration with one of Cheshire’s finest breweries.’

The plan is over time to brew a range each with a distinctive edge to it

Thus say Electrik in their press release about their new beer.  Called Bright Spark (3.7 ABV), it’s a bright session pale ale, strong in flavour, yet dry and hoppy. A beer, as Electrik points out, ‘that draws on the craft revolution that’s taking the beer world by storm’

Justin Crawford of Electrik said: “We are calling the project The Electrik Ale Experiment. The plan is over time to brew a range each with a distinctive edge to it, the next one being a porter if Brightspark goes well. We don’t want to scrimp on the ingredients as we’re not trying to get a cheap house pint but rather something that stands up with the best craft ales we’ve served previously. Because of this we are involved in the brewing process ourselves, up early to do the mash and clean the barrels.”

The chief advising brewer remains a mystery but is ‘an award-winning local brewer, whose ales are greedily consumed by our clientele’. Bright Spark will be available at the CAMRA beer festival at the Museum of Science and Industry on Thursday 22 March - click here.
