Revealed: venue for special festive pop-up!
WELL, we promised that you’d be the first to know when we heard where Don Giovanni will be unveiling its Christmas pop-up – and the time has come!
Think another authentic and independent Italian, on the other side of town, which proudly brings the Mediterranean to Manchester… yes, Don Giovanni will be using the space at Per Tutti for its seasonal spillover!
The festive period is a busy old time for Don Giovanni, when Manchester’s oldest independently owned Italian finds itself fit to burst.
From starters, including fritto misto and bruschetta Pomodoro, to dolci, including affogato and panna cotta, the Don Giovanni takeover DG x Per Tutti on Liverpool Road has your continental-style Christmas covered and will run from early October until the end of December.
And with that crucial wood-fired oven already in place, this is the perfect match! Given those baking facilities, Neapolitan sourdough pizza will be on the stripped-back special menu – including a pizza and draught beer for a tenner all day weekdays, and half-price takeaway pizza when you order in advance for collection 12-2pm. Other family favourites will include fresh gnocchi, risotto and pasta, such as a classic linguine vongole, and there will be weekly-changing chef’s meat and fish specials.
And for some proper pre-Christmas luxe, the bar will be serving up award-winning organic Prosecco plus classic cocktails, craft Italian beers and fine wines. Open from noon every day, Sunday to Thursday until 10.30pm and Friday and Saturday until 11pm, you don’t need to book – just drop in!
Chris Buckley, Per Tutti's departing owner says "I just want to thank all the lovely guests that have dined at Per Tutti over the years, Good luck to the new owner and his team."
