ALMOST Famous fans in Didsbury and Chorlton – here's some news you'll like. For one weekend only, you can enjoy the best of the Almost Famous menu without having to trek into town. Or leave your house. Or even speak (if you really don't want to).
They'll be cooked just down the road from you, so will arrive hot, tasty, and in tip-top condition.
It's thanks to restaurant takeaway service Deliveroo, and the Almost Famous Wondertruck – their fully-equipped mobile kitchen. It'll be parked up in a secret location somewhere between Chorlton and Didsbury from Friday morning to late on Sunday night, with a squad of Deliveroo drivers ready to whisk their just flipped burgers from the truck to your front door.
Burgers don't travel well beyond a few miles, so unless you live in the city centre, you can't get an Almost Famous home delivery. The Wondertruck changes all that. They'll be cooked just down the road from you, so will arrive hot, tasty, and in tip-top condition – like you get in the restaurant.
It's part of Deliveroo's drive to bring city centre food out to customers in the suburbs, using pop-up kitchens from the most popular restaurants. Almost Famous will be the first to try it in Manchester, but they expect more brands to follow. It's already a big thing in that-there London, apparently.
