THE popular deli and café on Wilbraham Road in Chorlton will be celebrating its tenth year by hosting a festive Christmas party on Thursday 12 December.
We’ve really enjoyed sourcing unusual ingredients, supporting artisan producers, making great coffee, feeding people.
The family run independent deli opened in December 2003 and has become a focal point for Chorlton residents and visitors.
Over the years North Star Delicatessen has catered for dozens of events, hosting several successful themed supper clubs, samplings, a Clandestine Cake Club and hands on butchery demonstrations for Manchester Meat Club.
The sleek white interior was designed by local architect Patrick Thomas and the logo by Trevor Johnson.
On Thursday North Star is celebrating with cheese and wine tastings. There'll be an opportunity to dine on a seasonal range of homemade food including gluhwein, warming tomato soup, a BBQ with turkey burgers, bratwurst hotdogs and mince pies. Any Christmas foodie gifts purchased on the night are subject to a special discount.
A raffle will also take place during the evening with the chance to win various special prizes. The proceeds will go to Cancer Research UK.
The event will take place at the original premises on Wilbraham Road on December 12 commencing at 4pm until 8pm.
North Star Deli recently opened a second branch at 77 Dale Street near Piccadilly Station in Central Manchester.
Co-founder and Confidential food writer Deanna Thomas said “It’s great that North Star Deli has reached this amazing milestone and we are thankful to have such a loyal customer base. North Star has grown thanks to our many friends and supporters. We’ve really enjoyed sourcing unusual ingredients, supporting artisan producers, making great coffee, feeding people and helping to provide others with the food to help celebrate their own milestones over the years”
