ON SATURDAY 20 September vintage hair and make-up artist Bethany Jane Davies will be unveiling her new beauty salon on Kingshill Road, Chorlton Green.
She promises to transform her neighbours into thirties starlets, forties dreamboats and fifties pin-ups.
Bethany and her assistants will be demonstrating how to achieve classic vintage looks, from Gatsby-inspired finger waves to Bridget Bardot style beehives.
Nestled amongst the pretty terraced houses of Chorlton Green, The Vintage Beauty Parlour is a chic ladies-only powder room.
Inspired by old Hollywood glamour, the suburban bijou is adorned with glistening chandeliers and decorated in soft rose pinks and creams. The salon houses six exclusive pamper stations complete with vanity style dressing room mirrors and make-up menus.

We're told the beauty room hides a 'secret space', which will host a series of intimate one-off vintage themed events including speakeasy supper clubs and silent film screenings.
The official opening party (3pm to 7pm) will boast a vintage themed line-up including a special guest performance from jazz singer, Kiki de’Ville from BBC1’s The Voice, burlesque entertainer Lady Wildflower and decadence dance group Swingvasion.

In keeping with the vintage theme, visitors will be offered a complimentary glass of fizz on arrival whilst Miss B Bakes will be providing boozy dessert platters to sample.
Since 2009, glamorous Davies has been creating authentic looks and styles on various vintage enthusiasts nationwide. Five years on and the decision to launch her very own salon comes from wanting to give her customers the ultimate vintage experience.
