TECHHUB, the community and workspace for innovative technology start-ups, has announced it will be opening a collaboration space in Manchester in mid-November, the first in the UK outside London.

The building is one of the oldest canal warehouses dating from 1806 and built to be served by the Rochdale Canal. Old technology will host new technology.

The start-up hub for the technology sector has agreed terms with property investment and development company, Town Centre Securities (TCS), for office space over two floors in Carver’s Warehouse in Piccadilly Basin, Manchester.

TechHub’s mission is to foster the start-up culture of technology innovation and ensure entrepreneurs have the support to ensure the success of their products.

The Manchester base will include 50 permanent desks for resident start-ups, and ‘drop-in’ work space for annual members requiring an occasional space to touch down, contact with large firms, plus the invaluable opportunity to network with national and international start-ups in person and via the online TechHub network.
