Sales. Not just for those eager for a bargain on Boxing Day, the summer sales can be just as viscious, aggressive but ultimately rewarding when you find that designer dress for half price.
Selfridges sale has already kicked off in the Exchange Square store and also at the Trafford Centre. So deep breaths, elbows out and let's go. With many labels, both womenswear and menswear, and beauty brands at up to 50% off you're sure to find a bargain.

20 JUNE: HARVEY NICHOLS SALE, CATHEDRAL STREET
Harvey Nichols has three floors for sale shoppers to pour over
Selfridges not go enough designer goods for you? Then run across to Harvey Nichols who are also having a huge summer sale. With an extensive beauty department and some of the biggest designer names stocked on their menswear and womenswear floors, it's a haven for label lovers.
Got to be quick though, the sale started on Wednesday and the good stuff will sell out quickly.

21 JUNE: CBEEBIES STORYTIME, JOHN LEWIS CHEADLE
Storytime on a Saturday in the Cheadle suburbs
John Lewis in Cheadle, in conjunction with childrens charity Barnado's, are hosting Storytime with Cbeebies presenter Alex Winters, who will read some of his favourite stories to children.
Storytime will be hosted by Cbeebie's Alex Winter between 11am-12pm on Saturday 21 June in the Place to Eat on the first floor.

Selfridges Beauty Project is drawing to a close
The Selfridges Beauty Project is finally coming to a close. We've enjoyed fake tan masterclasses, lessons from beauty experts including Armand Beasley and talks from famous faces including Fresh Meat actress Zawe Ashton.
It's your last chance to take advantage of the beauty expertise on hand and also to sample the Fragrance Lab (see our review here) before the project finishes on Tuesday.
Selfridges Beauty Project is scheduled to finish Tuesday 24 June.
