ALICIA Keys will perform a one-off gig at Manchester Cathedral on Monday 24 September as part of an MTV World Stage event in conjunction with Manchester City Council.

The free, ticketed event, named MTV Crashes Manchester, will be filmed by the global network and will be the first opportunity for UK fans to hear new tracks from Keys's forthcoming album Girl on Fire.
Speaking about the new album, Alicia Keys said: "All of the love and work I've poured into Girl on Fire has been for moments like this - when I'm able to travel the world and share the experience of performing my favourite songs with my family across the globe.
"I'm so excited to be a part of MTV Crashes Manchester and to celebrate music in such an inspiring and historic setting."
An impressive pianist as well as acclaimed vocalist, the cathedral will provide the perfect ambient setting for the 14 time Grammy award winner.
