IHG Hotels & Resorts introduces ‘The Manchester Deansgate Hotel’
IHG Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel groups, has added one of Manchester’s most iconic buildings to its luxury portfolio.
Located in the heart of the city centre within Beetham Tower, The Manchester Deansgate Hotel starts its bold new chapter this month, marking the official transition from Hilton to IHG Hotels & Resorts.
The rebrand is accompanied by the appointment of Konstantin Grimm as General Manager - an esteemed hospitality leader with over 18 years of experience driving success across luxury hotels, including Manchester’s Kimpton Clocktower Hotel. Konstantin previously served as Manager of the hotel’s Cloud 23 bar, so this appointment also acts as a homecoming.
The hotel is set to become an InterContinental by 2027, marking a significant milestone as the fifth InterContinental property in IHG Hotels & Resorts’ UK and Ireland portfolio. Throughout this transition period, it will operate as The Manchester Deansgate Hotel.
A refurbishment is expected, but the hotel still remains open as usual for guests and staff, with the full team staying in place and service continuing without interruption. Guests can look forward to the same high standards and amenities, with Cloud 23 and Podium Bar & Restaurant remaining open as usual.
Konstantin Grimm, General Manager, said: “It’s a privilege to return and lead the hotel into this exciting new chapter. I have fond memories of the hotel in its previous form and I’m looking forward to what comes next. Importantly, it’s business as usual for our valued guests. The hotel remains fully operational and will continue to deliver the high standard of service guests know and expect. All future enhancements will be carefully managed to ensure a seamless experience.”
