Take the indoors out with Gusto Didsbury’s terrace
COME rain or shine, the terrace at Gusto is the place to see and be seen in Didsbury Village. Whatever the weather, it’s the perfect spot for sitting back and making the most of the people-watching opportunities with a chilled glass of Pinot Grigio, an authentic aperitivo or a classic Italian coffee.
As well as being covered, the space out front at Gusto Didsbury is heated and twinkles with fairy lights – making it ideal for a bit of alfresco dining too, daytime or evening. So even if our sunny days and warm evenings find themselves outnumbered, the great outdoors doesn’t have to be off limits.
We grabbed a table last Bank Holiday Sunday, and treated ourselves to a cocktail or two – to celebrate the long weekend, there was a two-for-one offer, along with a special DJ set, so it would’ve been rude not to. The cocktail menu includes the now classic Aperol Spritz, along with ten martinis, and the usual suspects from Mai Tai to Negroni. They are also available two for one during the week 5-7pm.
To line our stomachs, we ordered from the bar food menu: tasty marinated olives, sun-dried tomatoes and garlic bread with cheese, plus the grande sharing board. The meats on this platter include prosciutto ham, salami soppressa and coppa pork cold cut, while the cheeses were tangy goat’s cheese, subtle and soft blue dolcelatte and smoked provola. Hassle-free outdoor eating – perfetto!
