Body Confidential attended the 'Circus of Acceptance' and discovered a unicorn. Were you spotted?
This year's Big Weekend was a circus... a 'Circus of Acceptance'. For the 2018 edition of Manchester Pride, organisers encouraged LGBT+ revellers to showcase their individual quirks, skills, differences and 'fascinations!' for the thousands of people attending the annual parade. And they certainly did.
Naturally, we spotted multiple rainbows during the festivities. Throw in a couple of unicorns, 'bears', skintight latex, jock straps, our favourite drag queens, unicyclists, jugglers, trapeze artists and lots of glitter, and we pretty much had the Cirque Du Soleil commandeering Canal Street.
Of course, it doesn't really matter who wore it best over the big weekend. It does matter that those who showed up came out in celebration of the LGBTQ+ community in true Manchester style. Again, they certainly did.
