BAB – kebabs worth sitting down for. That’s our mission statement right there.
Well we’ve got some new ones and we reckon they’re worth reclining in a sedan chair for. You’ll be living it up like the Queen, or King, of Sheba with one of these beauties. However, we’ve been too busy creating cracking new food offerings to actually source sedan chairs so you’ll have to do make do with the usual furniture.
The new monkfish tail bab is a belter – served with fermented jalapeño, kaffir lime and coronation celeriac remoulade – this is kebab royalty.
We’re also mighty pleased with our new wild mushroom shawarma bab served with babaganoush. You can also order it as a non-bab with cheesy chips and our classy take on a kebab shop salad.
The new mixed bab doesn’t sound much but it took too much space to call it the ‘everything we do best all rolled into one glorious bab’ bab. But that’s what it is: lamb adana, Aleppo chicken, cheesy chips, sumac onions and our very special sauce.
Our meze have had an upgrade too with the addition of honey-glazed pork belly skewers, crispy chicken wings with scotch bonnet and pomegranate molasses, and lamb shawarma and feta filo rolls. Share them or scoff them as a prelude to your BAB feast.
We also have a smart new pud that rounds everything off nicely. Our chocolate chip and date cookie skillet served with ice cream – banana works a treat with this – is perfect for sharing, especially after meze and a bab. If you skipped the meze, you can probably manage on your own.
