Deansgate’s fabulous new Thai place is back open for takeaway
Rosa's Thai Cafe, Deansgate reopened its doors for takeaway this week and the restaurant will now be open seven days a week from 6pm. Customers are able to order for delivery via Deliveroo, or click and collect from the restaurant.

From one original tiny pillar-box-red cafe in Spitalfields, London, which owner Saiphin Moore opened with her husband and business partner Alex in 2008, there are now 19 Rosa's Thai Cafes around the country – with the first outside London opening in Liverpool in 2019.

Saiphin has a close relationship with her suppliers in Thailand. The tamarind used in dishes like pad thai and sticky pork skewers, for example, comes from her home town in Phetchabun province, halfway between Bangkok and Chiang May.
“I work with the small communities in Thailand, local farmers. The rice also comes from my farmers - I’ve been working with them for years. They are a very small village and I went and helped them to get an export license so we don’t have middle men,” she told us back in January, a couple of weeks before the Manchester restaurant opened.
Rosa’s Thai Cafe Manchester opened in the old courthouse on Deansgate - most recently home to Handmade Burger Co. It’s a listed building and retains as much of the original character as possible.
Rosa’s Thai Cafés are renowned for punchy Thai food inspired by Saiphin’s family recipes, made using the best authentic Thai ingredients alongside locally sourced British produce.
Diners can expect fragrant favourites such as salmon red curry, stir-fried aubergine with chilli and basil and Rosa’s signature pad thai. There’s also a small selection of traditional sweets such as mango and sticky rice and coconut cream ice cream as well as fabulous cocktails.
