WOOD Manchester is about to open its doors on First Street. The debut restaurant from MasterChef winner (and native Mancunian) Simon Wood, it's one of the biggest restaurant launches of 2017. And here's your chance to eat there in its first month.

Those who saw Simon cook his way to victory on MasterChef 2015 will remember his passion and talent in the kitchen. His was a very pure take on 'fine-dining': simple, elegant and accessible.
His transformation from data manager into professional chef was fascinating to watch, so there's no shortage of people hoping he can pull off his next big ambition: his own fine-dining restaurant.
WOOD Manchester is housed in a beautiful space near HOME on First Street – relaxed and stylish in equal measure. At the time of writing, we've not eaten there, but the menus fill us with hope for something a little bit special.
