Its motto is ‘a kebab worth sitting down for’ and that’s exactly what Bab serves up: homemade flatbreads, gently charred on a robata grill, are loaded with fresh fillings and marinades made onsite. Fresh, healthy and vibrant, they showcase this misunderstood meal at its finest.

Chef creativity and a focus on seasonality mean the menu changes regularly: expect everything from fried chicken (with bacon popcorn, sweet corn and sour bonnet relish, bacon jam) to harissa octopus with lemon aioli, barbecued baby gem and pickled samphire. There’s plenty for veggies too, including halloumi with truffled honey.

Don’t fancy a bab? You’ll also find an array of Greek, Italian and Levantine-inspired dishes; from meze (perfect for sharing) to Mediterranean salads, and desserts come recommended too.

Bab is just as diverse on the drinks side. From curated wine and beer lists to creative cocktails and spirits, tipples are well covered. And non-boozy bevvies span soft drinks to homemade iced teas and coffees.
