 If we had £200 to spend here, we'd begin the evening with classic Italian cocktails in their marble-topped bar. Their Testarosa, made with homemade limoncello, strawberry puree, and rhubarb syrup, is excellent.

 For food, we'd take our pick of their fresh fish which is delivered daily: king prawns with lemon and chilli for a starter, whole Anglesey sea bass for a main. The josper oven steaks from locally reared cattle are tempting too.

 A favourite dessert at Don Giovanni is the Agrumi di Sicilia, a mandarin semifreddo cream on a light sponge with flavours of Sicilian lemon and sweet citrus. End on a digestif cocktail such as their Abbracci: a bitter-sweet blend of Grand Marnier, Mozart Dark Chocolate, Cherry Heering.
