WHEN Idris Fabiyi woke up on Friday 12 February, got ready for work as usual, and walked out of his house in his casual Friday attire (jeans and a Superman t-shirt), his soon-to-be fiancé Yvette had no clue that he'd be orchestrating one hell of a romantic marriage proposal.
Without being too mushy it’s been about nine years and the timing is right
For the past four months, Idris has been working with an assembly of dancers from Salford City College to propose to his partner of nine years in front of hundreds of shoppers with a Hollywood movie-style flash mob (seems a diamond ring in a glass of bubbles just don't cut it anymore).

So what happened to quiet proposals at a fancy restaurant?
“I suppose I’m just that kind of guy," says Idris.
"Without being too mushy it’s been about nine years and the timing is right. And so close to Valentine’s Day – it wasn’t planned, it just so happened today worked for everyone.
"It’s been about four months in preparation. I can’t take much of the credit, it was all down to Salford City College.
"The most important song had to be the end song, which was Bryan Adam's Heaven. It means a lot for both of us. I thought as soon as she heard it she’d understand this was something more personal than just a random flash mob. When the song came on and she saw me I think it all came together."
