A venue with character
The Albert Square Chop House is in a beautifully restored, grade II-listed building in the civic heart of Manchester.
Downstairs is the pub and restaurant, while upstairs are two distinctive function suites: The Thomas Worthington Room with stunning views of Albert Square, and the larger Memorial Hall which is named after the meeting space which gave the building its reason for being.
Both function suites have their own private access, private bar, fine traditional furnishings, and lots of natural light, making them ideal for daytime events.
Whether you wish for a formal gathering or a more relaxed celebration of the life of the loved one, this historical setting will not disappoint.
Best of British food

The events team will make sure everything runs smoothly, from the dedicated waiter service, to the excellent food and drink, to the AV equipment, which you may want to use for slide shows and music.
They'll work around your requirements to ensure the wake is a personalised, special celebration to remember.
