THERE’S so much going on in Spinningfields this Summer it makes you want to rip up your passport, we’re going nowhere. With Summer Sessions and the Spinfest comedy sessions throughout June and July we’re spoilt for choice when it comes to a Manchester staycation and the months promise live music and laughter that would brighten even the cloudiest Summer’s day.
From nights of soul, pop, and electro to indie and ska and with bands and musicians from across the North West the Summer Sessions is all about celebrating local talent and, quite simply, great great music.
The comedy line-up promises something pretty unique too. From the ‘pub quiz with a twist’ to Bogan Bingo, a comedy game show from Australia that took last year’s Edinburgh Festival by storm the comedy nights are almost certainly going to pack ‘em in.
Against the backdrop of Oast House, so a cold beer is never far away and with the city’s biggest BBQ serving up some serious grills it’s easy to see why Spinfest is becoming a much loved series of events in the city’s Summer diary. And you didn’t even need to pack a suitcase.
