Tour Of Uninteresting Objects - Saturday 28 June
Manchester's unique tour. Ah yes, the un-regarded things that make a city. This tour reveals odd sculptures, mad details, washed up remnants of things inside and outside buildings. Each tour tackles a different area of the city centre and environs to uncover massive quantities of uninteresting objects. It'll be so uninteresting you'll be captivated. This week it's Castlefield's turn to be investigated in the company of Manchester Confidential editor, Jonathan Schofield, who doubles as a tour guide. 3pm. Meet outside the Museum of Science and Industry. Tours last between one and a half and two hours and usually after the tour end up with a chat in a pub or bar. Book here or just turn up.

PERUD-OH? - Monday 30 June
Odd one this, but then, we like that. Perudo is based on the classic Peruvian game of Liar's Dice, a game of guesswork, bluff and luck that can be played anywhere by anybody, though consummate bullshitters do have the advantage. Manchester, Glasgow and Bristol are holding regional heats before the final at the Groucho Club in Soho. Who knows, you could become the Garry Kasparov of Perudo, tour the world, make your fortune, sleep with models, cry when you get beaten by a hugely advanced Perudo robot.
