They say The Ivy Spinningfields will be the 'largest restaurant to open in the UK in 2018'
It's been almost two years since Confidential first got wind that The Ivy was eyeing up a move to windy Hardman Square in Spinningfields.
Now, after numerous titbits, CGIs and the building of a whacking great shed, The Ivy Spinningfields finally has an opening date - Tuesday 27th November.
The second floor will feature the group's first ever 'Ivy Asian'
Spread over four 'fabulous' floors, the restaurant will feature a ground floor brasserie, first floor private dining room, an 'opulent' Asian bar and restaurant on the second floor and a 'sumptuous' roof garden.
They say the timber-framed venue - with space for around 535 covers - will be the 'largest restaurant to open in the UK in 2018'.
The second floor will feature the group's first ever 'Ivy Asian' - a glam affair offering Asian-inspired cocktails, dishes like Wagyu beef and salmon teriyaki, and a 'show-stopping green, semi-precious stone floor, set against a striking antique gold mirrored bar, gold-gilt ceiling and luxurious Asian fabrics'. Fancy.
Once open, the venue will host a mix of 'guest DJs, events and entertainment', including on the roof, which will benefit from a fully retractable roof and heaters all-year round.
Baton Berisha, Director of Operations for The Ivy Collection, says: “We are incredibly excited to bring The Ivy Collection to Manchester this winter. Situated within the heart of Spinningfields, Manchester’s luxury dining and shopping quarter, we can’t wait to showcase our different floors, dining concepts and offerings. They’ll be something for everyone and we hope to bring something new to the city.”
Opening and serving times across the four floors vary, but the venue will be open midweek 8am to 1am (2am Thurs), Friday 8am to 3am, Sat 9am to 3am, Sun 9am to 12.30am.
