From Lola Young to Olivia Dean, Fred Again and Sombr, here are your 2026 BRIT nominees…
This evening, nominations for The 2026 BRIT Awards were revealed via ‘Bring on the BRITs’ - a digital broadcast which was filmed at Manchester’s Co-op Live, the chosen venue for this year’s (and next year’s) awards ceremony.
Hosted by Charley Marlowe and Sarah Story, the show, which was streamed across the BRITs’ social channels, unveiled this year’s nominees across 15 categories and featured reactions from artists selected as well as a performance from Critic’s Choice winner Jacob Alon.
On Saturday 28 February, the BRITs’ will take over Manchester’s Co-op Live, marking a momentous moment for both the awards show and the city as the first time the event has been hosted outside of the capital. Presented by Jack Whitehall, the awards will be broadcast live on ITV and ITVX.
This year’s trophy has been designed by Manchester-born artist Matthew Williamson and pays homage to the city with its amber, honey-like design.
Leading the pack with the most nominations this year are Lola Young and Olivia Dean, both receiving five each, closely followed by Sam Fender (four nominations) and Dave, Fred Again, Jim Legxacy, Lily Allen and Wolf Alice (all up for three nominations).
Chart-topper Olivia Dean is also the first confirmed performer at the ceremony, bringing with her fan favourites like Man I Need from her 2025 album The Art of Loving.
Nearly 70% of this year’s nominations feature women and non-binary artists, the highest proportion to date. Winners of Songwriter of the Year and Producer of the Year will be announced in the coming weeks.
